Now for the Royalists. The first two are a Fusilier and a Grenadier/flank company advancing. I have chosen to model these, at least to begin with, in the brin uniforms worn at Chacabuco and Maipo. The main reason was to begin with figures that were more difficult to find as a lot of the uniforms otherwise were similar in style to Napoleonic uniforms. Thus I have begun with the both the Argentinians and the Spanish wearing the short coats.
The uniform consisted of a shell jacket with piping and trousers. Both of these were made in brin, an off white fabric, as was the shako cover.
For the Spanish I am starting with variants of an 'advancing pose' if only to differentiate them from the Argentinians already done.
I have decided that the packs will consist of eight infantry or four flank company figures or four command. Of course, keeping with tradition the figures will also be available singly when they are done.
